Saleh Al-Kanana- Culturea and Symbolic-Artist-Sculpture
“Artist Saleh Al-Kanani Creativity of the School of
Reality and the Culture of Symbolic Art”
A
creative person whom I may have only met through social media pages, but he is
a symbol of Diyala culture a culture that specializes in plastic art in the
world of sculpture that depicts things in their objective form in our present
time. He is famous for his symbolism in the world of plastic art through his
rare works a professor who draws for his reality and does not want to escape
from it. He challenges the problems of life and frames them in his paintings,
leaving time a history that tells its stories to successive generations to read
the future through the bitterness and creativity of the sculptor for the
society in which he lives because he believes that all civilizations knew him
through their art.
How
could he not be the son of the country of Ur-Nammu and the dawn of dynasties
and Bilal-Ma and Hammurabi and Ashnunna. And Assyria. This is how our
creator creates his artistic glory with his fingers, so he became one of the
giant stars in his country. Despite his groans in the world of art, which no
one cares about in the age of civilization progress and the cross-pollination
of cultures with each other after the artist became marginal in the eyes of the
obscurantist, the ignorant and the illiterate in a homeland that taught the
world how to draw, write and create literary epics.
His
spiritual love is his studio where he sits to sculpt or photograph.. and draws
a situation that he finds worthy of documenting for future generations. An
artist who lived in order to create and give without compensation. An
intellectual who was able to enter most of the art schools, but he specialized
in embodying reality through allusion and warning in his symbolic and realistic
art schools, to be thus the artist who deserved and deserved to be referred to
in all art forums.
A creator and artist from Diyala influenced by
the giants of Iraqi sculpture such as Jawad Saleem, Khaled Al-Rahhal, Mohammed
Ghani Hikmat and Suhail Al-Hindawi, who took art from the depths of Babylonian,
Sumerian and Assyrian history, the depth of their creativity. This is
what earned Iraqi sculpture to be considered one of the most important
sculptural schools in the world due to the historical depth of the civilization
of Mesopotamia. An artist whose works are mostly made of wood, especially
artificial wood M.D.F, locally and internationally. He is the plastic artist
Saleh Hadi Ali Ahmed, known by his artistic name Saleh Al-Kanani, born in 1972
in Bequeath. A graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts. A Bachelor of Art
Education. President of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association, Diyala Branch. A
member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association. A member of the Iraqi Artists
Syndicate. A member of the Life Association for Arts. A member of the Diyala
Plastic Arts Union. A member of the Creative Artists Syndicate
He
has many artistic works that have been acquired by local and Arab cultural
institutions and has many monuments that have decorated many Iraqi gardens and
squares. The most important of which is Al-Fellah. He won second place in the
Babylon Festival in the nineties in the Iraq Monument Competition and second
place in the Iraq Sculpture Competition in 2013, in addition to the fact that
our creator has several international participations in Syria and Oman.
It was acclaimed by Arab critics and artists.
A
career full of artistic giving that earned him many awards, shields,
certificates of appreciation and letters of thanks from most international and
local artistic and cultural institutions, and most Iraqi and international
websites and newspapers wrote about him.
